 Exporting Info from a Read-Only Database

• Create a new database on your disk called "Ken's Paints"

• Open the database file "Ken's Paints" from the network directory (either w: or g:)

• Notice the table called "Inventory"; highlight it

• Right-click the mouse button and choose "Save As/Export"

• Choose "To an External File or Database"

• Choose "Ken's Paints" on drive a: ( or d:) and click "Export"

• Close Access

You have now created "Ken's Paints" on your disk (on it you can now create new tables)

from "Ken's Paints" on the network, which is read-only.
